indian idol-an overrated tv show??

well as you all know the ‘talk’ of the day seems to be indian idol. with gossips and the latest updates coming every now and then as you tune in to your ‘spicy’ radio channel radio mirchi which adds extra spice to the show, the show really seems to have caught the attention of people!! now the question is- is it really worthy of our precious time or are the viewers being undermined of their precious time? by worthy i mean, the votes given by the ‘janta’ hav complete weightage.do they really hav??is indian idol just a hype??

i must say, that, at the start of the show it did capture my interest too. but in due course of time, i just realised that that the scenario on the sets being completely different from what it was before. the judges sometimes praise the candidates one day which let their spirits so high and the next day the criticism rate is so high for the same candidate which is utterly ridiculous. i agree that the people from low class background are encouraged to some extent , but is this just a clever way of gaining publicity??well..for the questions stated above the only key is behind the sets which , unfortunately dont hav access to 😦

another interesting point to strain ur gray cells a little- what is it we are looking for in an indian idol??

– a great voice for sure.

-apart from that an electrifying stage performance.

-ability to act and do many other things on stage than just singing.

-witty, intelligent and very very street smart.

– great personality to look at. .

now are these prerequisites satisfied by the person to be crowned “indian idol”? it is also obvious that the main idea of the show was stolen from the very popular show in america, called the american idol. the lack of originality here certainly calls for more innovative ideas from our  side rather than the show itself being called as a cheap gimmick of the american idol….!!!
